C.P. Company

Originally founded in 1971 as Chester Perry, in 1978 Massimo Osti, a young graphic designer from Bologna who would go on to be recognized as the “godfather of urban sportswear,” sought to breathe new life into the brand. C.P. Company was born and so too with it was a drier and more mature burst of creativity. C.P. Company became a pioneer in mens sportswear and took its process of manufacturing and design aesthetic to pioneer grade.

Over the last four decades, C.P. Company has become instantly recognisable for its vintage military and work appeal and a connoisseur in intense fabric research and innovation. Historically acclaimed for its avant-garde efforts in the art of garment dyeing, Massimo Osti and his collaborators were the first to attempt dyeing fully-fashioned garments from multiple different fabric or fiber types. Following further research into army protective hoods, C.P. Company not only worked on prototypes for anti-gas goggle jackets but also sponsored the 1988 edition of the Mille Miglia car race.

Today, the men’s apparel by C.P. Company remains true to its utilitarian aesthetic and functionality and here, at THE ICONIC, we remain in awe of their ability to integrate Italian-made performance Pro-Tek fabrics with a rustic, urban street style. From jackets, vests, tees, trousers and shorts, C.P. Company is a contemporary-facing brand manufactured to last.
